Cygnus Investments was formed in 2009 by Mike Clare.

Mike Clare

Mike founded Dreams plc in 1987 and grew the business from one small bed shop to over 200 superstores nationwide becoming Britain's largest bed retailer. Mike sold the majority of his stake in Dreams in 2008 and now concentrates on new business ventures in a variety of sectors.

Mike is a Freeman of the City of London, an Ambassador for Buckinghamshire, a Director of British Retail Consortium, a Liveryman at The Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers, Founder of Wycombe 4C (Business in the Community), a Patron of Chalfonts Community College, an Advisor to the British Furniture Confederation and a Fellow of the Institute of Directors.

Through the Clare Foundation, Mike's charitable interests see him as Patron for The Princes Trust, The Retail Trust and The Child Bereavement Charity, a Trustee for The Buckinghamshire Foundation, Director (and Past President) of Furniture Trade Benevolent Association and ex Chair of both Beaconsfield Round Table and 41 Club. Mike is also an active supporter of charities such as The Outward Bound Trust, Woodrow High House and Henley Festival.
